Our neighbor, the Moscone Center, is under construction. The bridge over Howard Street is closed due to the construction. On your next visit, you will notice that a protective barrier and a temporary ramp has been built alongside the Children’s Creativity Museum.
All visitors, including strollers and wheelchairs, can enter the museum from the carousel plaza using the ramp. Once the construction is completed, we will all enjoy a much improved “front yard” with landscaping, art, and ample seating. In addition, a new accessible bridge will come to our front entrance and the playground tot lot will be redesigned. In the meantime, a visit to the museum will include an opportunity to see our new neighborhood being built around us.
The Children’s Creativity Museum is offers complimentary monitored Stroller Parking outside of the museum! This service alleviates lobby congestion, provides proper entrance/door clearance, and ensures the safety of all museum guests and staff. CCM staff supervise the stroller parking area. The space is marked by an umbrella and a director’s chair.
Outside stroller parking will be enforced when the front lobby has reached a maximum capacity of strollers safety parked in the museum.
We want to assure you that CCM takes security seriously and that this requirement is solely for your safety and that of your family. Please visit the front desk if you have any questions about stroller parking.
