10am - 4pm

221 4th Street San Francisco CA, 94103

The Children's Creativity Museum located in downtown San Francisco nurtures creativity and collaboration in all children and families. Help us honor U.N. World Creativity and Innovation Day with our signature, free family event for all ages on Saturday, April 26th, from 10am - 2pm! This year's "Play Together" theme celebrates the socially interactive nature of playful learning with live performances, special workshops, hands-on activities, and more!

Start your festival experience in our Creativity Courtyard with The Sampaguitas at 10am, as they share insights on their songwriting process and Filipinx-American cultural heritage through music influenced by folk, blues, and doo-wop. Filipino American puppeteer, artist, and teacher, Ramon Abad, will offer a workshop on puppet making while he shares what it's like to write and direct skits with his creations.

Then, enter the world of Baobab Studios in our Creativity Theater to learn more about how they fulfill their mission - to inspire you to dream, bring out your sense of wonder, and make YOU matter! - with their incredible animations. See a trailer of their latest work, "The Magic Paintbrush," and hear directly from studio leadership about their creative process. Craft your own characters inspired by the conversation and take home an autographed book as a keepsake (while supplies last). Lauded as the "Pixar of Virtual Reality,” this a great opportunity to learn more about the animation industry and draw inspiration for your next stop-motion movie project at CCM!

Hands-on activities from CCM's school field trips will be offered alongside those of our Yerba Buena partners - including the American Bookbinders Museum, South of Market Child Care, The Mexican Museum, and more - encouraging all of us to play together! And The Pop Nation will be back by popular demand with delicious treats available for purchase (while supplies last). So mark your calendars today!

This event is supported in part by the Yerba Buena Partnership.
