Play Passport Program Benefits, Terms & Conditions

Play Passport is the annual membership program of the Children's Creativity Museum. These terms govern all Play Passport benefits and use.

Family Access: Eligibility & Household Definition

Play Passport is valid for one year from the date of purchase and includes admission for two named adults in the same household and their children or grandchildren under the age of 18. Play Passport benefits are intended for personal household use only and may not be transferred, resold, or shared outside of the designated household and designated caregiver(s) associated with the account.

Caregiver Flexibility

At least one named adult from the designated household listed on the account must be present during each museum visit unless a designated caregiver accompanies the child(ren) in the named adult’s absence.

A designated caregiver is a trusted adult, separate from the two named adults listed on the membership account, who may utilize Play Passport benefits only when accompanying the child(ren) from the designated household at the Children’s Creativity Museum. Caregiver access applies only to visits at the Children’s Creativity Museum and does not extend to reciprocal admission benefits at partner institutions.

One designated caregiver may be added to the account at the time of purchase. Additional caregivers may be added or updated for a $29 administrative fee per caregiver change. All caregiver changes must be requested by one of the two named adults from the designated household. Please contact membership@creativity.org to request any caregivers changes and to pay the applicable fee(s).

Journey Together: Reciprocal Admission Benefits

Play Passport includes access to reciprocal admission programs offered through participating museums, science centers, and cultural institutions. These reciprocal benefits are provided through the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM), the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC), and the Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM) networks. Reciprocal admission benefits may include free or discounted admission opportunities, determined by each participating institution and applicable network policies.

Reciprocal admission benefits and participating institutions vary by network and are subject to change without notice. Eligibility requirements, blackout periods, geographic restrictions, and admission policies may apply. Some institutions may restrict reciprocity benefits for special exhibitions, ticketed events, performances, lectures, or premium experiences. Please contact participating institutions directly prior to visiting to confirm current reciprocity benefits and admission policies.

Bring-a-Friend

Play Passport holders receive $10 off general admission for up to four (4) accompanying guests at any one time. Accompanying guests must enter together with a named adult on the account and may not use the benefit independently. This benefit applies only to general admission at the Children's Creativity Museum and does not extend to reciprocal admission, ticketed events, or special programs.

Unique Experiences: Seasonal Creative Engagements

Play Passport families will receive invitations to seasonal events and creative experiences periodically throughout the membership year. Event timing, capacity, and registration (including select paid experiences offering Play Passport discounts) may vary and are subject to change without notice.

Refunds & Admission Credit

Play Passport purchases may be made online (https://creativity.org/become-a-member/) or in-person at the Children’s Creativity Museum. Museum admission may be applied toward the purchase of a Play Passport on the same day as admission if it is applied by our visitor services team before leaving the museum. Admission credit is limited to eligible members of the designated household associated with the Play Passport account.

Play Passport purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash value.

Digital Cards & Account Access

Play Passport uses digital membership cards that are issued following purchase. Please allow up to three business days for digital card delivery; purchase confirmation or photo identification may be used for museum entry until then. Digital cards may be shared between the two named adults and designated caregiver(s) listed on the account.

If you do not receive your digital card, please contact membership@creativity.org.

Museum Policies & Visitor Conduct

Children under the age of 13 must be supervised by a parent, guardian, designated caregiver, or responsible adult (for school/camp group visits) at all times while visiting the Children’s Creativity Museum. Museum staff may request identification to verify valid Play Passport usage and designated caregiver access. To help maintain a safe and positive experience for all visitors, the Children’s Creativity Museum reserves the right to suspend Play Passport benefits at any time if visitors misuse Play Passport benefits (including unauthorized sharing), exhibit disruptive behavior, or fail to follow museum policies.
