How many seats does the Creativity Theater really have?
There are 140 permanent seats (seven rows of 20) in the main theater and 24 unfixed chairs in the balcony (including spaces for A.D.A. seating). We can add up to 2 rows of fixed theater seats at the floor level to reach our maximum seating capacity of 200. Adding floor-level seats reduces the playing space on the stage.
How big is the stage?
The stage is 41ft across with 9ft wings on either side. The stage is 23ft deep with no floor seating / 16ft deep with two added rows of floor seating.
Why don’t you post your rental rates?
We understand that budgeting costs is a primary concern and often a determining factor in choosing a venue. This is why we would like to understand the details of your production before providing you with a quote. (“One size” does not necessarily “fit all”) We give special consideration to non-profit arts groups and to events that focus on youth and children.
What comes with my rental?
The Creativity Theater provides you with a spacious lobby, use of our lighting and sound equipment, a Staff House Manager, and a Staff Technician. We can also provide publicity support via our website and social media platforms.

Do you provide Box Office services?
Not at this time, though we are happy to offer advice. We’ve found that most renters prefer to control their own Box Office operations. There are a number of online services that make this easy and affordable.
Do you have available parking / accessible public transit?
The Creativity Theater does not have a dedicated parking lot, however there are a number of conveniently located public garages. Both the Moscone Center Garage and the Fifth and Mission/Yerba Buena Parking Garage are less than two blocks away. Click here for a complete list of nearby garages.
We are located three blocks south of the Powell Street Station for easy access to both BART and MUNI.
Where is the Creativity Theater located?
The Creativity Theater at the Children’s Creativity Museum is located at 221 Fourth Street in downtown San Francisco (on the corner of Fourth and Howard across the street from the Metreon).
