The Children’s Creativity Museum in San Francisco is celebrating a milestone in the Bay Area Arts Community, honoring Folkmanis Puppets and their remarkable 50th anniversary. Running now through December 2026, this installation transforms the museum’s Spiral Gallery into a playful, immersive journey through five decades of world-renowned history and puppet artistry.
Folkmanis Puppets has spent half a century inspiring creativity, curiosity, and storytelling! This expansive exhibit invites visitors of all ages to explore the evolution of puppet design. From handcrafted to intricate designs, learning about the design process through a retrospective video and hand-on engagement with these icons of imaginative play.
This special installation is a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and the magic of puppetry for families, educators, artists, and anyone who loves to explore the power of imagination.
