
The Children’s Creativity Museum is looking for volunteers to play an integral role in facilitating our programming. Volunteers act as the Museum’s enthusiastic docents and ambassadors, and lead workshops developed by our education team.
We are looking for adults and teens who have a passion for creativity, experience engaging with children ages 2 through 12, an interest in the arts, and a positive attitude towards technology.

Volunteer opportunities:
Status: Unpaid volunteer position
Times Available: Thursday - Sunday, 9:30am - 4:30pm, or 9:30am - 1:30pm, or 12:30pm - 4:30pm
Expected Commitment: Four shifts per month. Shifts will run for 1 semester (3-4 months)
Position Description: Spend your summer volunteering at the Children’s Creativity Museum! Make an instant impact in our innovative art and technology museum where you’ll get the opportunity to work with children and families from all backgrounds. The Summer Education Volunteer is responsible for ensuring our visitors are having a rich and meaningful experience while maintaining museum exhibits.
Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors to each space and explain how to get started
- Assist and facilitate activities in each of our exhibit areas and check in with visitors for help and support
- Direct visitors to different exhibit areas
- Reset and tidy up each space - pick up paper, keep supplies filled and reset stations
- Alert managers and staff to any immediate needs
- Learn the basics of stop-motion animation, facilitating art activities, music studio software, and the process of innovating

Expected Commitment: Minimum of four shifts per month for six months starting September 1, 2017
Position Description: The Early Childhood Volunteer is responsible for ensuring our visitors are having a rich and meaningful experience by engaging our visitors and assisting in early childhood programs.
Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors in Imagination Lab
- Assist and facilitate activities in our Imagination lab including Snap-It making, stop-motion animations, DIY art projects, practicing literacy skills while reading to and with children, encouraging puppet play, and more.
- Help engage visitors during our drop-in early childhood programs
- Incorporating CCM's educational philosophy and mission into conversations with visitors.
- Direct visitors to different spaces and inform them of our museum policies.
- Reset and tidy up each space - pick up paper, keep supplies stocked, and reset stations.
- Alert managers and staff to any immediate needs.
