Children in this class will create musical sounds and rhythms with their voices and bodies, play finger games, dance and move to the music, hear familiar and new songs and rock out during the percussion instrument jam. Parents be warned: There will be lots of jumping, bouncing, moving, grooving and playing in this class! Blue Bears School of Music has two classes. One is designed for families with multiple children. Bouncy Bears Classes are on Thursdays from 10am-10:45am. Mixed Bears classes are on Thursdays from 11am-11:45am. These classes serve children from 6 months old to 5 years old. They start on September 19 and end on December 5. Sign your family up here!
Through a new partnership with The Children’s Creativity Museum, Killing My Lobster sketch comedy writers and instructors will host 90 minute after-school writing workshops for children ages 8-11. The once weekly workshops will culminate in a final read with professional KML actors to which parents and friends are invited. We’ll get the kids’ creative brains working, help them understand how to write original characters, and how to give their sketches a beginning, middle, and end. We’ll help them express their ideas and stories and show them how they can be brought to life by performers. Killing My Lobster Comedy Classes are on Wednesdays from 4pm-5:30pm. These classes serve children from 8 years old to 11 years old. They start on September 25 and end on October 16. Sign your writers up here!
