Early Birdles is a hands-on play-based workshop designed to build creative confidence in children ages 5 and under. At the Children’s Creativity Museum we define creative confidence as knowing you have the freedom to take creative risks and that your ideas, no matter how outlandish, are valuable. The Early Birdles program provides a variety of developmentally appropriate opportunities for young children to build their creative confidence.
THIS MONTH’S THEME: DINO-CRAZY! Fossils & Footprints, Dino Eggs, Herbivores (leaf eaters) and Carnivores (meat eaters)
In addition to independent exploration, each hour-long workshop includes body movement, live music, and collaborative storytelling. The inclusion of free-play allows children to explore at their own pace, while the group activities provide opportunities for focused learning, collaboration, and social and emotional growth. The program content draws inspiration from Reggio and Montessori learning approaches, and is evaluated by early childhood experts to assure that it is age appropriate and developmentally valuable.
10:00am to 10:30am – Free play in the Imagination Lab
10:30am to 11:00am – Group time with body movement, live music and collaborative storytelling.
