Children’s Creativity Museum Camps


MAKER CAMP
July 6 – 10, 2015  |  9:00am to 5:00pm  |  Ages 6-8
Kids are invited to embrace their inner maker with an assortment of tools to construct and tinker. Learn basic electronics while lighting up LEDs, making musical switches, and coding robots; Build sculptures that move, and more!

$500/week (members), $525 (non-members)  –  9:00am to 5:00pm

ANIMATION CAMP
July 20 – 24, 2015  |  9:00am to 5:00pm  |  Ages 8-12
Don’t just go watch movies this summer, create your own! Learn the ins and outs of directing and filming a stop-motion animation as you create your very own movie. Campers will be introduced to techniques in character sculpting, set design, sound editing and more.

$500/week (members), $525 (non-members)  –  9:00am to 5:00pm

CREATIVITY CAMP: EXPLORERS
August 3 – 7, 2015  |  9:00am to 5:00pm  |  Ages 6-8
Travel back in time to the golden age of exploration! This week-long summer camp encourages children to explore their surroundings, create their own imaginary worlds, and think creatively when presented with survival tasks and scenarios.

$500/week (members), $525 (non-members)  –  9:00am to 5:00pm

CREATIVITY CAMP: Bugs & Butterflies
August 3 – 7, 2015  |  9:00am to 3:00pm  |  Ages 3-5
Join us in the world of bugs and butterflies, where children are giants and creativity rules! Each day will be a new adventure exploring different bugs with fun, engaging activities. Ages 3-5. Children must be potty trained.

HALF DAY: $250/week (members), $265 (non-members)  –  9:00am to 1:00pm
FULL DAY: $350/week (members), $365 (non-members) – 9:00am to 3:00pm

CREATIVITY CAMP: DINOSAURS!
July 13 – 17, 2015  |  Ages 3-5
Stoke your child’s curiosity and imagination this summer in their new role as a paleontologist. Kids will learn about prehistoric times and the creatures that once ruled the earth while digging for fossils, hatching dinosaur eggs, creating volcanoes, and more.

CREATIVITY CAMP: FIVE SENSES

June 22 – 26, 2015  |  Ages 3-5
Kids will discover, expand and experiment with their physical senses through songs, stories, games and more. Each day we will focus on a difference sense as we explore the world through hands-on sensory-based play. Ages 3 to 5. Must be potty trained.

LEGO CAMPS

PLAY-WELL JEDI ENGINEERING
June 15 – 19, 2015  |  Ages 5-7
Young Jedi will explore worlds far, far away and engineering principles right in front of them. Defeat the Empire by designing and refining LEGO® X-Wings, R2-units, and settlements on far-flung edges of the galaxy. Imagination and engineering combine to create motorized and architectural projects such as energy catapults, shield generators and defense turrets.

PRE-ENGINEERING WITH LEGO®
June 15 – 19, 2015  |  Ages 5-7
Let your imagination run wild with tens of thousands of LEGOs! Learn about structures wile building engineer-designed projects such as boats, bridges, mazes and motorized cards, and use special pieces to create your own unique design! Explore the endless, creative possibilities of the LEGO building system with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor. This is an ideal way to prepare young builders for the challenge of Engineering FUNdamentals.

HALF DAY: $200/week  – 1:00pm to 4:00pm

VIDEO GAME DESIGN

GIRLS MAKE GAMES
June 15-26 & July 6-10, 2015  |  10:00am to 4:00pm  |  Ages 7-15
Join Girls Make Games for their first ever San Francisco Camp! This international organization aims to inspire girls to explore the world of games, building their confidence in the areas of math and technology. Curriculum is designed around team work and students are grouped based on skill level. Beginners and advanced coders are welcome!

Three-week camp registration: $1500. Before and after care is available.

COMPUTER PROGRAMMING

INTRO TO PROGRAMMING
July 13 – 17, 2015  |  9:00am to 5:00pm  |  Ages 8-12
July 27 – 31, 2015 – FULL, WAITING LIST ONLY

Learn how programming can be used to design and build things with code and creativity. This camp will teach students how to code video games on Tynker and robotics using Dash and Dot from Wonder Workshop. Students will gain a better understanding of programming by learning to build code and break it down with a series of challenges in both game design and robotics exploring computer drawing, obstacles, timers and score, making multiple levels, sensor interaction, and more.

$600/week,  $575 for CCM Members

Go Girls! is not just a summer camp. It’s a movement. The mission of Go Girls! is to ignite a compassion revolution by putting girls center stage. As an internationally recognized social innovation produced by Glitter & Razz, Go Girls! Camp re-imagines the way girls are educated, nurtured, and empowered. In Go Girls! Camp, your 6- to 11-year-old will collaborate with other girls in her age group to make and perform their very own play or short film.
