3D Printing Workshop with 123D Catch
AUGUST 5, 12:00PM to 4:00PM

In this engaging group workshop we’ll learn about 3D scanning, 3D printing, and tools for creativity and collaboration. Using 123D Catch and Make, visitors will produce 3D models from clay figures and print a collaborative model by the end of the workshop. (Ages 8-18)

MEET THE INSTRUCTORS:
Instructor Bilal Ghalib is a Maker Culture activist. He has been helping cultivate the Maker Movement outside the western world in the Middle East through his project GEMSI.org. He’s interested in personal fabrication, open source hardware and software and hackerspaces as an empowering ecosystem for entrepreneurship. He’s currently working with Autodesk & Instructables.com sharing tools and fresh ideas helping unlock the creativity in everyone. He wants to see a world with more creative people building, solving problems, and being lovely to each other.
Assistant Instructor Qarly Canant is a teambuilding and high ropes course facilitator, therapeutic clown, and musician. As a summer education intern at the CCM, she is interested in multimodal imagination play, scaffolding, and creativity and collaboration. She believes that meaningful problems can be solved using positive community collaboration, a DIY mindset, and creative use of technological resources.
